Apart from Jesus Christ, every man, woman, and child will live and die without hope. These folks live in our community and all around the World. Our church exists to allow every person in Newton County the opportunity to know and follow Jesus. Everyone should have the chance to experience the hope that you and I have found.
Part of our strategy to accomplish this mission is "Vision for the World."
In 2020, we're taking a missions trip to Peru for a few reasons:
- To share the Gospel with people who need it
- To expand our Vision for the World
- To encourage & bless the missionaries who are serving in Peru
This trip is an opportunity to see God work in you and through you.

How Can I Afford the Trip?
$2000 is quite a bit of money, but with effort, you can very quickly bring together the funds required:
Save up
Start now to save as much as possible for the trip! Going on a mission trip will change your life; it is a worthwhile investment.
Additional Income:
Saving up $2000 is no small challenge! In addition to saving, we recommend finding additional ways to earn money for the trip.
- Work Odd Jobs
- Save Overtime Pay
- Use bonuses, tax refunds, or other small windfalls
- Some have sold shirts or other items to support their mission trip.
Ask For Help
People are often excited for those who take steps like a mission trip. If you ask, many are willing to help support your trip. Here are a few tips on how to raise support for your trip:
- Expect Nothing - Remember, you are asking! No one has to give. Do not treat those who are unable to or choose not to give any differently than before. Be kind to people regardless!
- Be Grateful for Everything - When people offer to support your mission trip, appreciate them! Handwritten thank you cards are a great way to recognize those who have helped you. Also, consider buying souvenirs during the trip to give to those who have helped you.
- Prepare a letter - Write a letter to inform potential supporters what you will be doing and how they can help. Here is an example letter that you can use for a starting point: Mission Trip Example Letter.
