Pastor Tony Howeth and his wife, Stacey, have served the Lord in full-time ministry for almost three decades. Pastor Tony was saved as a teenager, at Lexington Baptist Church in Lexington, GA. He later became Youth Pastor at Whitfield Baptist Church in Dalton, GA. After eight years of ministry as Youth Pastor, the Lord called he and his family to Pastor Bemiss Road Baptist Church in Valdosta, GA.

During this time God blessed in a mighty way, but Pastor Tony felt the Lord calling him in reaching the world as a missionary. He served the next several years as Deputation Director for Macadonia World Baptist Missions.

In 2011 God called him and his family as Senior Pastor to Newton Baptist Church. Pastor Tony is known as a friend to many, with many young men’s lives touched by his ministry. If you are around Pastor Tony for just a short time you will see his passion not only for his God but for others.

Pastor and Mrs. Stacey have four children: Seth, Lauryn, Ethan, and Camryn.

You could say that Ethan is a homegrown leader! Ethan and Emily both grew up in strong Christian homes and met at Newton Baptist Church. It was also at Newton where they both surrendered their lives to serve God, and Ethan received his training for ministry. They have proven themselves faithful, loving, and hardworking over the many years they have served in volunteer capacities. They desire for the Lord to impact the youth of our church through their lives!

Jason currently serves as our Minister of Music here at Newton. He, along with his wife Elizabeth and three daughters, have been at Newton for 5 years, and are actively involved in teaching, preaching, and worship ministry. Previously Jason served in youth and music ministry for 13 years as the Associate Pastor of Lighthouse Baptist Church. Jason has a burden to see people experience the reality of a daily, personal relationship with the Lord that is the source and sustaining power of true worship.

Jason and his family love being involved in all aspects of the church here, but in his free time enjoys golf, photography, and cheering on the Yellow Jackets with his family.

Beau and Lauryn Carpenter joined the Newton team in April of 2017. Beau’s passion is to help people know and follow Jesus. Previously, he served as pastor of an Atlanta area church for three and a half years. When Beau is not serving in ministry, he enjoys spending time with his family.
