Puggles recognizes the learning ability of 2- and 3-year olds by introducing biblical truth at church and equipping parents to teach them at home. This loving environment begins to build a foundation within the lives of small children to know and love God.

Parents and their little ones learn together some basic biblical truths in fun and understandable ways that encourage the whole family to follow God with their lives. Games, puppets, crafts, awards and other activities transform our preschool program into a lively experience where fun and learning go hand in hand.

Sparky, the friendly firefly, encourages boys and girls to get fired up about learning Bible verses and completing activities. The Hang Glider Bible Time and Game Time also help create an irresistibly fun atmosphere that takes the saved child a step deeper into God's Word while giving unsaved boys and girls regular opportunities to hear the gospel and come to faith in Jesus Christ.

The name Truth and Training reflects the passion of AWANA to teach 3rd \u2013 5th grade boys and girls the truth of God\u2019s Word and to train them to follow Christ in their daily lives. They will learn basic Bible doctrines through a series of questions and answers all supported by the verses that they will be memorizing.

What makes AWANA special?

AWANA is a fun program where kids are learning and growing while having a blast! Club meetings are jam-packed with life-changing experiences. The meetings are run by trained leaders with a love for Jesus and a desire to help young people.

Club materials are filled with verses from the Bible and guidelines to help kids memorize and understand them. AWANA teaches kids that God is real, that He loves them, and that He has expressed that love through Jesus Christ. Kids learn how God can help them in their daily lives. The goal of AWANA is to reach boys and girls with the gospel of Christ and train them to serve Him. Since 1950, churches have used AWANA to reach youth. It is a proven way for churches to train people and kids to serve God and bring the message of salvation to their communities.

The AWANA program is made up of three segments each week:

Game Time - Individual and team competition takes place through circle games exclusive to AWANA.  Every kid gets involved and has a chance to unleash his or her energy!

Handbook Time - AWANA emphasizes memorization and understanding of key Bible verses that show how to know God and walk with Him.  A series of awards and trophies reward each child's progress.

Council Time - Everyone gathers for large group Bible lessons.

Awards

Clubbers earn awards as they work their way through the handbooks for their club.  Patches or jewels are given at the end of each major section of their book.  Clubbers who complete a handbook are given special awards during our Award Ceremony on the final night of AWANA.
