The F.A.I.T.H. Script

The following is a shortened version, the full text is available to download in the resources section

In your personal opinion, what do you understand it takes for a person to get to heaven and have eternal life? The Bible says it takes FAITH to get to heaven.

“F” - Forgiveness

The Bible says in Romans 3:23 that all have sinned and come short of the Glory of God. Sin is breaking God’s Law. Lying, stealing, and lusting are sins. I have sinned, you have sinned, everyone in the world has sinned against God. But Ephesians 1:7 says that we can be saved from sin because Jesus died on the cross for the forgiveness of our sins.

“A” - Available

Forgiveness is available to everyone. John 3:16 says, “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whosoever believeth in Him, shall not perish but have everlasting life.” Even though God loves you, it doesn’t mean you have automatic forgiveness. Someone can be a good person, do good things, maybe even join a church … but if they have never turned to Jesus and trusted him as their Savior, they won’t get to heaven.

“I” - Impossible

It is impossible for a sinner to enter heaven because God is sinless and will not dwell with sin. The Bible says in Hebrews 9:27 that everyone will face God’s judgment, "And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgement:”

You will make your own decision about trusting Jesus. When you take your last breath, you have determined where you will spend eternity. With Christ or separated from Christ. So, How can a sinful person enter Heaven where God allows no sin?

“T” - Turn

You must turn from your way to His way. Luke 13:3 tells us that unless a person repents, that person will perish. Every person must turn to Jesus, and him alone because Jesus said in John 14:6, "I am the way, the truth, and the life, no one comes to the Father but by me.”

“H” - Heaven

Heaven is where you can live for eternity with God. In John 14:3 Jesus told His disciples, “And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also”. So according to the Scriptures, Jesus is coming back.

The question is - Are you ready for Him?

Romans 10:9 tells us that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him for the dead you will be saved. Would you like to receive forgiveness by trusting in Jesus Christ as your personal Savior? I can’t save you - I’m just a man - The Holy Spirit convicts you - Jesus does the saving. If you are serious and have faith in Christ, then He will make you a different person.

Would you like to pray and ask Jesus to save you?

Dear Lord Jesus, I know that I am a sinner, and I ask for your forgiveness. I believe that you died for my sins and rose from the dead. I turn from my sins and invite You to come into my heart and life. I will trust you and follow You as my Lord and Savior. In Jesus name, I pray, Amen
